Sydney Brett created Sydney's Smiles Inc. in December 2016,because she felt there needed to be more done to help stop children from being bullied. Sydney herself was the victim of bullying both physical and verbal, and not only by her peers but by her teachers as well. Not wanting other children to feel as she did she wanted to help other children to take a stand against being bullied. Sydney's goal for this organization is to spread awareness about all different types of bullying and the negative effects it has on children, speak at public schools and community letting students know they are not alone.
Sydney is in 12th grade at Long Beach High School. Sydney has dyslexia and wants to remove the negative stereotypes of children living with invisible disabilities. She has not let having dyslexia get in the way of her hopes and dreams for the future.
She is an avid dancer, trained in many styles of dance at Miss Colleens Elite Dance Centre, Rockville Centre, NY. Sydney is also involved in modeling and pageantry.
